Frampt - Legal

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Frampt handles information when you use our anime recommendation app. We designed Frampt to keep your taste profile on your device whenever possible.

Last updated: September 2026 Effective: September 2026
01 - ABOUT FRAMPT

What this app does

Frampt helps you discover anime films and series that match your taste. You can set language, genre, decade, and streaming preferences; take a short mood quiz; browse personalized picks; save titles to Watch Later; mark titles as watched; and review your recommendation history.

Frampt does not require an account. We do not operate a user login or a cloud profile. The app may show third-party interstitial ads through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource).

02 - INFORMATION WE HANDLE

What stays on your device

Preferences and library data are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad (for example, using on-device storage such as UserDefaults). This may include:

Frampt does not ask you for your name, email, phone number, or payment details inside the app. Contacting us by email is optional and separate from in-app storage.

03 - NETWORK REQUESTS

Catalog data from third parties

To show titles, posters, cast, trailers, similar works, and where a title can be streamed, Frampt requests publicly available catalog data from The Movie Database (TMDB). Those requests are sent with Alamofire. Preference and mood filters (such as genre, language, runtime, decade, or watch provider) are sent as search parameters so TMDB can return matching results. Alamofire does not keep a separate account or profile.

Images

Poster, backdrop, and cast images are loaded from TMDB image servers so the app can display artwork.

Trailers

If you choose to play a trailer, Frampt may open a YouTube link in an external browser or the YouTube app.

Sharing

The Share action uses the iOS share sheet and a TMDB webpage link for the selected title. What you share, and with whom, is controlled by you and the destination app.

No account sync

Your watchlist, watched list, quiz history, and preferences are not uploaded to a Frampt server.

To show interstitial ads, Frampt initializes Unity LevelPlay when the app launches. LevelPlay and its mediation partners may receive device and network information - such as IP address, device model, operating system, language, and advertising or vendor identifiers where available - plus ad interaction data, so they can fill, measure, and protect ads. Your taste preferences, Watch Later list, and quiz answers stay on the device and are not attached to those ad requests by Frampt.

04 - HOW WE USE DATA

Why this information exists

We do not sell your personal information. We do not upload your taste profile or library to build an advertising profile. Third-party ad partners may still use device and ad-request data under their own policies, as described below.

05 - PERMISSIONS & LIBRARIES

What the app asks for

We do not request access to your camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, or precise location. If you turn on Notifications, we request notification permission from iOS.

SnapKit and MBProgressHUD are used only to lay out and present the interface. They do not collect personal information.

Frampt also uses these services. They may receive device and app information, such as device model, operating system, language, IP address, and an app or installation identifier:

Your taste preferences, Watch Later list, and quiz answers are not sent to these services as a profile.

Standard device and network information may be processed automatically by Apple, TMDB, Unity LevelPlay, Google (Firebase), Meta, TikTok, ad partners, or other services you open (for example IP address, device type, or request logs) according to those providers' own policies. Frampt does not independently collect that information into a Frampt account.

06 - SHARING

When information leaves the app

We share or transmit information only as needed to operate the service:

07 - RETENTION & YOUR CONTROLS

How long data stays, and how to clear it

Local data remains on your device until you change it, reset it, or delete the app.

If you contact us by email, we keep that correspondence only as long as needed to respond and to handle any follow-up, then delete or archive it according to ordinary business practice.

08 - CHILDREN

Not directed to children

Frampt is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us by email, please contact us and we will delete it.

09 - YOUR RIGHTS

Access, correction, and deletion

Because most Frampt data lives on your device, you can review and change it directly in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold (for example, emails you sent us). To make a request, contact us at the address below. We may need enough information to identify the relevant correspondence.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a similar jurisdiction, our processing of any personal data we receive by email is typically based on our legitimate interest in responding to you, or on your consent where you choose to contact us.

10 - CHANGES

Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Frampt's features, legal requirements, or third-party services change. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the app after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy. Material changes will be posted here.
