Need a hand finding tonight's anime? This page covers how Frampt works, how to use each tab, and how to reach us if something looks off.
Frampt is a personal anime guide. It uses your taste preferences and a short mood quiz to recommend anime films and series, then lets you save a Watch Later list, mark titles as watched, and look back at recommendation history - all on your device, with no account required.
Catalog titles, posters, cast, trailers, and streaming availability come from The Movie Database (TMDB). Frampt is an independent app and is not affiliated with TMDB, YouTube, or any streaming service.
You can change preferences later from Profile -> Edit Preferences. There is no sign-in step.
See greeting chips from your taste tags, a 60-second quiz card, and a personalized rail of today's picks. Shuffle to refresh titles that still match your filters.
Answer mood questions - vibe, who you're with, time available, anime film vs series, and more - then tap to get a fresh set of Your Picks.
Your saved library. Search by title, sort by date added, name, rating, or release year, and remove titles you no longer need.
Review language and genre tags, quiz and watch stats, Recommendation History, Edit Preferences, or Reset Preferences.
Open any poster to see artwork, rating, overview, cast, director, and available streaming platforms (when TMDB provides them).
Frampt combines your saved preferences with the latest quiz answers (genre, language, runtime, decade, streaming service, and similar filters) and asks TMDB for matching anime films or series. Adult titles are excluded from anime film searches.
If a combination is too specific and returns nothing, Frampt gradually relaxes mood filters, then preference filters, and may fall back to popular titles so you still have something to browse. Your Picks also tries to avoid repeating titles you have already been shown in recent sessions.
No. Preferences, Watch Later, watched status, and recommendation history stay on your iPhone or iPad. Uninstalling the app removes that local data, unless an iOS backup restores it later.
Very narrow filters (for example a rare language plus a short runtime plus a specific platform) can return few results. Try fewer preference tags, take the quiz again with "Surprise Me" or "No limit," or use Shuffle on Home. Frampt may also show a relaxed or popular set when a strict match is empty.
Artwork and trailers depend on TMDB (and YouTube for playback). Check your internet connection, wait a moment, and open the title again. Some titles simply have no trailer on file - Frampt will tell you if none is available.
Go to Profile -> Edit Preferences to update language, anime genres, platforms, watching frequency, and decades. Profile -> Reset Preferences clears saved taste tags and related seen-picks state used for recommendations. Watch Later items are managed separately in the Watch Later tab.
Open Profile -> Recommendation History. Each quiz session stores the mood tags used and the titles shown, so you can revisit a past round. History is kept locally and limited to recent sessions.
No. Frampt recommends and organizes anime titles. When availability is listed, it comes from TMDB watch-provider data. Watching a title happens in the streaming app or service you already use.
The app interface is in English. You can still prefer original-language anime (English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Japanese, or German) in Preferences so recommendations prioritize that language.
When you write to us, include your device model, iOS version, and a short description of what you expected versus what happened. Screenshots help.
